We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Marine Engineering to lead product development and engineering initiatives for high-tech marine and defense applications. This executive-level role oversees engineering strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced R&D to drive innovation, efficiency, and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering operations, strategy, and technical planning for marine-focused systems.

• Drive the development of new technologies and innovative engineering solutions.

• Collaborate with business development, operations, and quality teams to shape customer requirements and improve cost, quality, and delivery.

• Manage engineering resources, including team leadership, budgeting, and project oversight.

• Interface with major defense contractors (e.g., Electric Boat, Newport News Shipbuilding) to support Navy programs.

• Develop engineering proposals, technical documentation, and project plans aligned with organizational goals.

• Foster vendor and client relationships to expand engineering capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.

• 15–20+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, marine, or military systems.

• Proven leadership in system design, engineering team development, and program execution.

• Strong knowledge of government procurement, defense standards, and quality systems.

• Experience managing complex projects and cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Additional Details:

• Full-time role with 25–35% travel.

• Hybrid of office and manufacturing environments.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and capable of obtaining security clearance if required.
