Overhaul the business management system whilst maintaining the existing AS9100 certification. This will include introduction of a centrally coordinated document system addressing; business processes, working level instructions and the associated change management. In addition, as part of the local management team steering a quality culture throughout the business of all staff being accountable for Product Quality, Right First Time and identifying solutions to problems. This will involving working with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure robust closed loop processes such as; MRB, Problem solving techniques through to effective Root Cause Analysis, along with demonstrating visual metrics.

In addition to the Site role, the job will include Quality overseeing responsibilities for the US Sites. This will also include liaising with Group functions such as; Commercial, Business Development, Engineering and Sales in supporting consistency with respect to quality related activities.

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing related quality role.
• Worked within a manufacturing environment with (eg ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001).
• Proven track record of implementing improvements using structured problem solving techniques.
• Direct involvement with customer issues management from initiation to closure.
• Evidence of Executive level management engagement.
• Experience in photonics preferable.
• Extensive experience of internal, external and customer audits essential.
