You’ll be developing optical hardware in a laboratory setting through the design, building, and testing of complex optical systems.

TECHNOLOGY:
Optical Laser Communications; Hybrid RF/Optical Systems; Dynamic Thermal Optical Systems; Systems Identification Methods

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the engineering team – electrical, mechanical, and software – to develop and test system requirements and move from concept to commercial products.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics or related degree
• U.S. CITIZENSHIP
• 3+ YEARS industry experience with optics, fiber optics or laser systems
• Optical ray trace software expertise (e.g., Zemax, FRED, OSLO)
• Fiber optic communication system experience STRONGLY desired
• Aerospace industry experience a plus
