Key requirements: Mechanical design, strong preference for opto-mechanical experience Minimum of 7+ years’ experience Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or opto-mechanical, or a related field Experience: Assembly models, assembly drawings, bills of materials and engineering change management. Design of Experiments and engineering/design validation testing Creating tools and jigs to support Production Translating marketing requirements to product requirements. Design for manufacture & design for assembly Tolerance analysis Product development phase gate process and full product life cycle Working directly with customers, customer facing Extensive use of Solidworks Project management Preferred experience: Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) to validate a design Zemax for optical modeling Medical devices
