This role will lead a team of direct reports executing the day-to-day operations of the optical lens finishing machine shop. Responsibilities include priority scheduling of work requests and manufacturing orders and ensuring timely deliveries in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead manufacturing team to deliver precise and accurate machined optical lenses
• Independently create and assist team members with setups and process approaches including work holding, tool selection and metrology requirements
• Drive continuous process improvement for yield and through put
• Assist with the transition of pilot production programs to full scale production across multiple shifts

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of optics manufacturing and testing not required. On-the-job training will be provided
• 10-15 years of light machining and fabrication experience
• Excellent Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills
• Solidworks and Mastercam preferred, CAD/CAM required
• Previous experience leading direct reports
• Strong math and organizational skills
• Diamond turning experience good to have
• Must be a US Citizen
