Sales Manager

, OR

Reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for developing and achieving the Company order plan. The individual in this position provides input into new product directions based on feedback from and observations of the marketplace. They will participate with other managers in establishing strategic plans and objectives.


  • Develop sales plans showing strategic and tactical targets.
  • Provide accurate order forecasts as required to corporate staff.
  • Manage regional PK staff and appointed representatives
  • Achieve order plan through direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Responsible for putting together divisional strategies and implementing them together with the other senior staff members.


Internal: Daily conversations with the regional sales staff and regarding account status, strategies, and forecasts. Daily contact with applications engineers, technical support, engineering, marketing and admin staff. Daily contact with VP Sales and Marketing and other staff members about strategies in achieving divisional objectives.


  • BSEE, MBA or equivalent technical experience.
  • Five years sales management experience.
  • Ten years experience in the Photonics and/or fiber optic industries
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
