Operations Manager
Boulder, CO
Best available performance in optical loss, spectral accuracy, wavefront integrity, durability, environmental stability, and laser damage resistance. Mirrors, lenses, prisms, beamsplitters, polarizers, and filters are just a few examples of the types of components that provides for a wide range of applications.
Direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities. Responsibilities include working with Materials on planning and scheduling, and maintaining efficiency and utilization as well as Continuous Improvement.
- Position is also responsible for recruitment, training, evaluation and development of manufacturing staff.
- Leads and manages the team on a daily basis to achieve site goals and overall business objectives. In this role, the manager is responsible for leading the team on a daily basis ensuring the operational success to meet today’s needs while leading their team to develop the capabilities necessary to meet Boulder Site’s growth plan.
- Reporting to you in this role will be all manufacturing personnel including production managers, supervisors and technicians.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Business or a Technical discipline such as physics, chemistry, materials science. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 10 + years of experience in a Manufacturing/Operations management level or above.
- Experience in optical fabrication production experience highly desired.
- Experience managing teams
- Proficient leadership, team building and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in data management in ERP systems, specifically M2M and SAP.
- This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
