Fast-paced, high-tech medical device company looking for the right person to help grow the business

Responsibilities:

• Build and test prototypes of new products
• Summarize results in clearly written reports and presentations
• Support evolution of new products through the product development process
• Document assembly and test procedures of new products
• Support new product transition to manufacturing

Qualifications:

• Experience in laser cavity alignment is required
• Experienced developing software for data acquisition and hardware control using LabView, Visual Basic, Delphi, Python or equivalents is a plus
• Understanding of how lasers work
• Basic understanding of digital and analog electronics
• Basic machining skills
• A sense of urgency in driving projects and desire to set ambitious goals
• An interest and curiosity for biomedicine and biomedical applications
• Occasional travel may be required

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Physics
• 2+ years of work experience on commercial free-space lasers
