Engineer is responsible for the design of epitaxial structures for high power lasers. This position can be on-site in the Bay area of California or remote. The company is vertically integrated in many areas of its business serving compound semiconductors, clean energy, night vision, health and many other areas.

Responsibilities:

• Lead / supervise MOCVD compatible epitaxy design onsite or remote
• Design and assess device performance
• General understanding of epitaxy, III-V material systems and chemistry
• Experience with automated data collection
• Drive growth of GaAs and InP materials

Education & Experience:

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
• 10-year proven epitaxial design experience in specific laser wavelengths
