Data Analysis Engineer

Manufacturing Data Analysis Engineer is a self-motivated contributor working closely with process engineer(s) to monitor and investigate process yields, cost, and process stability and capability.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Yield and data analysis of technology products
- Support yield investigations from initial discovery to root cause failure analysis with data analytics
- Use production data and production system data to investigate tool, process step, and operator dependencies on yields and excursions.
- Perform large dataset / AI investigations to identify promising “shift left” screens and optimizations that could increase yields and catch fallout earlier in the process.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience with data extraction, manipulation, and storage in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of statistics, process control, and reliability standards (Telcordia, JEDEC, MIL)
- Demonstrated hands on experience in assembly process flow is required as is an understanding of the equipment and materials that are used in the industry.
- Expertise in Minitab/SAS-JMP/similar data analysis package is desired.
Preferred Education:
- BS or greater in Engineering, Materials, Statistics or the Physical Sciences or similar field.
