Sr. Electronics Design Engineer

• Three plus years of hands-on Electronics design experience




  1. Design and model complex opto-electro-mechanical modules and subassemblies for Aerospace & Defense, Semiconductor Capital Equipment and other applications.
  2. Lead development (design, build and testing) of electronic components and sub-systems through all phases of product life cycle (e. g., development, production, obsolescence).
  3. Contribute to cross-functional engineering team consisting of Program Managers, Mechanical, Optical, Thin Film Design, Process, Product, NPI, Quality, Metrology and Sustaining engineers and technicians.
  4. Interface with vendors.
  5. Testing prototypes.
  6. Support Sales and Business Development Team in winning new business. Interacting with key customers at every stage of the process, starting from feasibility analysis & quote generation and through troubleshooting of mature products in production.
  7. Prepare and present modeling and test data during Design Reviews (both internal and with customers present).
  8. Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
  9. Support various other activities related to winning new business, developing new products, launching them into production and managing them through product lifecycle.




1. Subject matter expert in embedded electrical design. Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in designing electrical sub-assemblies (e. g., circuit board design, architect mixed signal sub-assemblies, sensor and actuator selection & interfaces, etc.)


2. Expert in electronic design development tools (e. g., Embedded Application Development environments, Analog & Digital circuit modeling, DFMEAs, etc.). Expert in RF modeling, testing & design (signal integrity and immunity). Expert in electrical testing tools and methodologies.


3. Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering/Physics or closely related field. Advanced degree preferred.

4. Experience in designing opto-electro-mechanical modules and subsystems for Aerospace & Defense and for semiconductor market segments is highly desirable. Expertise in qualification documents and practices of products in defense, industrial and commercial end applications is highly desirable.

5. Experience in FEA/Multiphysics analysis is highly desirable.

6. Expertise in C, C++ & C# is desirable.

7. Open to ambiguity and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

8. Strong leadership and communication skills.

9. Experience working on cross-functional teams.

10. Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.
