Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate of our business. 



1. Presenting our market leading scientific laser portfolio to potential customers

2. Managing relationships between customers and Marketing/Engineering team during the sales process

3. Leveraging technical application knowledge and  laser product expertise to identify new customers and markets for Lasers

4. Supporting existing customers; working closely with service & customer support and marketing to ensure post‐sales customer satisfaction

5. Developing new sales through prospecting, lead follow up, and sales calls

6. Gathering market and competitive price data to assist in pricing analysis and strategy for assigned territory

7. Maintaining accurate customer database records and consistent timely reports



1. Bachelors in a technical discipline; physical sciences, Engineering or Lasers/Electro‐Optics (advanced degree preferred)  

2. Minimum 5‐7 years of related experience  



1. Proven experience selling scientific equipment (especially lasers),  securing orders that range from $50k to $500k

2. Successful track record of sustainable sales growth and new account development

3. Ability to travel up to 50% of time
